The Principal of the Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School, Mrs Omobola Ojoge has charged Graduands of the school to be good ambassador of Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School as they move to the next phase of their lives.
Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School, Akure on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 organized a valedictory service for the 2022/2023 graduating set at an elaborate event held at the school hall.
The event which had earlier started with a church service climaxed at a grand reception for parents and teachers as well as the graduands.
The principal, Mrs. Omobolanle Ojoge while congratulating the students said though the event mark the end of their academic pursuit in the school, it is yet the beginning of another milestone journey into the future.
Mrs. Ojoge who used the opportunity to admonish the students to be good ambassadors of the school wherever they find themselves said the Old Student body of the school, Fiwasaye Old Student Association (FOGA) is a vibrant body all over the world and that they should feel free to join at their respective destination.
Giving her remarks, Ondo State FOGA Chairperson, Chief Mrs Kosemani Kolawole while sharing her personal story said the graduands should count themselves lucky to have passed through the school.
She further restated that the foundation of whatever they will become in life has been laid while in the school.
The climax of the event is the official investiture of the graduands into FOGA.
The event also featured presentation of N25,000.00 cash gifts by FOGA Lagos branch to three outstanding students in the just concluded JAMB examination as well as dance party by all graduands.
Some of the graduands who spoke with newsmen applauded the management of the school for giving their best to them just as they assured that they will be good ambassadors of the school even as they pursue higher academic goals in life.
