The Ondo State Council of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has joined other well-wishers to Congratulate Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his landslide victory in the April 20 All Progressive Congress (APC) primary elections in the state.
Hon Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa has been earlier declared as the winner of the Ondo State APC governorship primary election by the Chairman of the Election Committee and Governor of Kogi State, Governor Adodo at the Dome, Akure.
In a congratulatory statement signed by the State Chairman of TUC, Comrade Clement Fatuase described Aiyedatiwa’s victory as a reflection of the wishes of the majority members of the governor’s party.
The union added that the resounding victory of the governor is a testament of the good work the governor embarked on in less than five months in office, describing Aiyedatiwa as a visionary and listening governor who priotize the welfare of workers in Ondo State.
“ The entire leadership and members of Trade Union Congress in Ondo State congratulate governor Ayedatiwa on his landslide victory in Saturday’s primary election. The outcome of the election has demonstrated acceptability of the governor by the people of Ondo State”.
“His performance within the shortest period of his inauguration is astonishing. There is no doubt to say that he deserves continuity”
“We urge the governor to be magnanimous in victory, reconcile with aggrieved aspirants and unite all members in the interest of the state”.
The Union urged the governor to continue to prioritize the welfare of the work force in the state saying TUC leadership will continue to be an advocate of good governance and upholding democratic ethos in the state.
