Transformational Leadership Key To Nigeria’s Development- Adeboro Adamson SAN

A Legal Luminary, Adeboro Lateef Adamson SAN has restated the importance of transformational Leadership as key to Nigeria’s development, saying bad leadership is the major problem facing Nigeria as a country.

Speaking in Akure, Ondo State Capital on Wednesday, 6th March, 2024 in a Public Lecture organized by the Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) where the late Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN was awarded post humous outstanding leadership honour, Adamson applauded the State Chapter of the NBA for the honour done on Akeredolu.

He described Late Akeredolu as a fearless fighter and courageous individual that always uphold the truth and defend the interest of his people at all times.

The Legal Luminary bemoaned Nigerian Political Class for celebrating frivolity and projects that add little or no value to the populace, noting that Nigerian leaders must move from stone age and embrace 21st century reality of governance.

He urged the people of Ondo State to shine their eyes ahead of the November 16 Governorship Election, asking them to shun vote buying and vote for the best candidate that can transform the state.

The Senior Advocate thanked NBA Ondo State Chapter for counting him worthy to be honoured with the prestigious award of the legal body.

Speaking on the essence of the program, NBA state chairman, Olabanjo Aiyenakin Esq said late Governor Akeredolu was particularly chosen because of his sterling leadership stressing that it was unfortunate that the award is coming at a time he was already dead.

Describing late Arakunrin as a quintessential and phenomenal leader who is worth celebrating, Barr. Aiyenakin said the bane of Nigeria’s development is poor leadership and governance and that the theme of the program: “Transformational Leadership and Governance in Nigeria”, was carefully picked to address the issue.

While noting that all awardees were carefully selected for their excellent leadership, he charged other professional bodies to also take the leader stressing that a mutlisectoral approach to the problem will birth the desired change.

Other awardees are the event include Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, Sen. Niyi Adegbonmire, SAN, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, among others.
