TRADITIONAL BIRTH ATTENDANTS WORKING WITH GOVERNMENT TO ENHANCE SAFE CHILD DELIVERY- TBA PRESIDENT

The National Coordinator President of Traditional Birth Attendants TBA Com.Mrs Adaramoye Mary has said that all registered traditional birth attendants in Ondo are working in collaboration with the Ondo State Ministry of Health with a view to enhancing Safe Child Delivery.
She stated that they always make referrals to General and other medical Hospitals in the state incase complications arise during process of childbirth being handled by their members.
She stated that the Association of Traditional Birth Attendants need to be exposed to regular seminars, workshops and training programmes for their optimum performance during taking delivery of any pregnant woman..Moreso,on HIV AIDS,Birth Control etc our members need more awareness, because no knowledge is lost.
She commended the Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for his giant strides in the development of the state.She admonished the governor to come to the assistance of the Association through various empowerment programmes being enjoyed in the state.
Moreso,we want our members that make referral to Government Hospital, Mother and Child Hospital etc to be adequately rewarded because their job is life saving that should never be underestimated.
She enjoined impostors and fake traditional birth attendants to relocate from Ondo State because the long arm of the law will soon catch up with them. All traditional birth attendants must be registered under the same umbrella, because the job cannot not be done with levity and untrained individuals,she pointed out.
The National Coordinator President stated since she came on board,she has brought all registered members of the Association under one fold. “Among us we have Christians, Islamic adherents and traditionalists, there is no segregation”, she pointed out.
She used the occasion to call on members of the Association of Traditional Birth Attendant to obey rules and regulations laid down for them by the government.
Com.Mrs Adaramoye Mary the National Coordinator President of Traditional Birth Attendants explained that the body is duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission,Abuja.She promised to use her God given potentials and knowledge acquired on the job to move the Association to the next level.
She urged members of the Association to give her their unalloyed support and loyalty so that she can realize her set goals for the development of the Association.
The crowned National Coordinator President of the Traditional Birth Attendants added that the Job of Traditional Birth Attendant stated from the bible and urged members to do the job with the fear of the Lord.
