ONDO YOUTHS DRUM SUPPORT FOR ATIKU, AS PDP NEW GENERATION INAUGURATED

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, PDP NEW GENERATION, Atiku Support Group has been inaugurated in Ondo State. The Group with Members across the 18 Local Government Area Councils of the state promised to deliver Ondo state for the presidential candidate of the umbrella party.

The inauguration of the state arm and executives of the group was held at the Ondo State Party Secretariat in Akure, Ondo State Capital.

The Group noted that the time to RESET NIGERIA has come with the Atiku candidacy as the presidential candidate of the opposition party. ” RESET NIGERIA has 5 points Agenda of which R stands for eunification; E – ECONOMY; S- security; E -Education and R- True federalism.

Speaking, the State Coordinator of PDP NEW GENERATION, Prince Daudu David said the youth of Ondo State are ready to take the front seat in determining who succeed President Buhari in 2023.

He stated that, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the PDP is the only man that has the wherewithal to rescue the country from the failed APC led government.

David further said PDP NEW GENERATION stands with Atiku in the struggle of reclaiming the loss glory of Nigeria, adding that the old narrative of maladministration and mis-govenance will soon end by the time Atiku becomes Nigerian President.

While charging Members and Youth of the state to vote APC out in the forthcoming election, he said all the internal wrangling in the party will soon be resolved, saying Governor Nyesom Wike and cohorts have invested much in the party and will never work against the interest of the party and its presidential candidate.

Hon Dayo Awude, Vice Chairman Central who represented the State Party Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Adams, said 2023 election is different from 2019 because the presidential candidate of APC is from South West, adding that for PDP to win Ondo State,all hands must be on deck.

He noted that, politicians from the South are using Campaign of calumny to discredit Atiku, saying Atiku is a Fulani man like Buhari whose abysmal performance has led Nigeria to its present situation.

His words: “There’s nothing wrong with Fulani tribes because we have lived with them for years without crisis until Buhari came to power and never see anything wrong with the criminal Fulani herders terrorizing the unity, peace and security of the country”.

He stated that past Nigerians president who were Fulani extraction were good and serve the country diligently, added that Buhari breed of Fulani is the one that is giving Fulani bad name.

Awude charged presidential candidate and parties to make 2023 campaign an issue based rather than attacking personalities.

” APC has failed the people of Nigeria; rather than attacking personalities, let each of the candidate tell Nigerians what they are bringing to the table. We can all testify to the track record of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar both as a public figure and private man”, Awude stated.

In the same vein, Barr Akinwumi Balarabe tasked the group to be up and doing in their campaign across the State, saying Ondo State can’t afford to deliver the state for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

According to him, In 2019 presidential election, Ondo State came first in the South West; we delivered for Atiku, this time around, we are going to surpass the last feat. The South West will not be cajoled to tribal politics. APC has failed us and nobody can deceive our people to vote for the party just because Tinubu is a Yoruba man”.

In his goodwill message, PDP State Youth Leader, Hon Makinde Henry charged Nigeria to vote wisely, saying PDP can’t continue to be in opposition.

He bemoaned the prolonged ASUU strike that took 8 months to resolved, saying APC led government is failure and Nigerians should vote against the ruling party in 2023.

“It is high time our youth brace up and use their voting strength to push APC out of government. We can’t continue like this, APC government in the last seven years is nothing but a distater that must not happen again”.

On his part, Hon Adeloye noted that 2023 is not about tribes or religion differences but about a pan Nigeria that will restore the lost glory of the country and unite Nigeria.
