THE GBOBANIYI OF OSI KINGDOM IWUYE CEREMONY: THE GLITZ & GLAMS

All roads lead to the ancient town of Osi Kingdom in Akure North Area Council of Ondo State in the South West Nigeria on Saturday 19th of October, 2024 during the IWUYE CEREMONY of the Gbobaniyi of Osi Kingdom, Chief Valentine Okoye.

Prominent Personalities that graced the event have continued to congratulate and extol the virtues of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Valentino Boutique, a first class clothing outlets in Ondo and Ekiti States.

Describing the Iwuye ceremony and installation as an endorsement of his strength and good character, the invited guests while speaking with the PATH noted that the installation of Chief Valentine Okoye is a testament of his sterling leadership qualities exhibited in his business and philanthropy
gestures in the society.

Chief Valentine Okoye was installed the Gbobaniyi of Osi Kingdom during the 10th years coronation anniversary of Oba David Olajide Okunato, Ilufemiloye 1, the Iresi of Osi Kingdom.

Among people that extolled the virtue of Gbobaniyi in their separate goodwill messages included HRM Oba David Olajide Okunato,v Mayegun of Osi, Hon Moses Oba Bombay ( Former House of Assembly Candidate), High Chiefs, Friends, Colleagues among others.

Speaking, Oba Olajide David said the installation of Chief Valentine Okoye as Gbobaniyi of Osi reflects the sterling leadership qualities that he noticed in him saying Chief Okoye is a pride of the community and role model to the youth of Osi Kingdom.

” Chief Valentine Okoye has contributed to the development of our community and his positive impact and zeal for development of modern Osi can’t but noticed by the community which led to the confirmation of Chieftaincy Title on him”.

On his part, Oba Bombay said he was not surprised that Chief Okoye was installed as a chief in Osi, describing it as an honour well deserved.

Others that speak with the PATH said that for the monarch to installed Chief Okoye as Gbobaniyi of Osi Kingdom shows he is a good person.

” The fact that you have been found worthy of this significant position among the youths should be regarded as an endorsement of your strength of character because to install you as a chief definitely show you are a man of good character”.

While chatting with the PATH, Chief Valentine Okoye appreciated the honour bestowed on him by the monarch with a promise to bring meaningful progress and development to Osi Kingdom.

His words: ” I am grateful for the inestimable love and support of my Royal Father, the Iresi of Osi, his Council of Chiefs and good people of Osi Land for counting me worthy for the conferment of the prestigious Chieftaincy Title of Gbobaniyi of Osi Kingdom”.

He also recognized and appreciated the presence and attendance of families, friends and associates who used their presence to honour him.

Meanwhile, GBOBANIYI ensure all guests high profile personalities who attended the event were given A-Class treatment with foreign and assorted drinks available aside a standby musician providing entertainment for the guests.
