Rotarian (Evang) Tunde Akande has been sworn in as the National President of the Ikun Progressive Union (IPU). Ikun Akoko is under Akoko South West Local Government of Ondo State.
Rotn Akande, the Chief Executive Officer of Europa Security Service won the keenly contested election which gave him the mandate to lead the Union in the next four years.
Speaking, Akande thanked the sons and daughters of the town for their support and believing in his leadership, with a promise to run an administration that will respect every opinion and bring rapid development to Ikun town.
Europa as popularly called assured the people of the community of bringing his cognate experience and connection in bringing desirable development to the agrarian community.
He specially thanked the Regent of the community, Her Royal Majesty Princess Omobolanle Deborah Jacobs-the Olukun of Ikun,the Ihares,Itapos for their continue support and cooperation for the development of the town.
While looking forward to more government intervention for social amenities in Ikun Akoko, he commended the governor giant strides in infrastructural development across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
Meanwhile, the IPU National President congratulates Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on the occasion of his 61st birthday, describing him as a man of vision, integrity and dedication whose exemplary service and commitment to the progress of Ondo State has inspired a lot of people within and outside the state.
He commended the governor for his steady, focused, and people-oriented leadership, particularly his administration’s commitment to community development across the length and breadth of Ondo State.
