..... Commends Governor's Partnership with Sahara Energy on Reactivating Ondo Oil Field
A Community Leader and APC Stalwart in Ondo State, Asiwaju Temitope Micheal Balogun (Genesis) has applauded Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for facilitating the return of Africa’s richest businessman and President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, to the Olokola Free Trade Zone with renewed investment plans.
Asiwaju Balogun, a progressive leader and stakeholder from Erusu-Akoko in Akoko Northwest Local Government Ward 10, Constituency 1 stated that, Dangote’s renewed interest in the Olokola Free Trade Zone reflects growing investor confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s led administration in Ondo State.
In a statement made available to the PATH, Genesis as fondly called described the development as a major milestone capable of transforming the state’s economy, adding that, the governor efforts to create a conducive environment for business and industrial development, brought Dangote back to Ondo State.
He noted that, the proposed industrial zone represents a major breakthrough in the state’s quest for economic diversification, job creation, wealth generation, and sustainable development.
” The return of Dangote to Ondo State would generate employment opportunities, stimulate industrial growth, and enhance wealth creation across the state. Mr Governor deserves accolades and commendation”.
He stated that, the proposed industrial hub, with its integrated power, gas, water, and logistics infrastructure, would unlock enormous opportunities for businesses, create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, stimulate local enterprises, and significantly improve the state’s revenue base.
He added that, the comeback of Dangote to Ondo State is a strong endorsement of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and the investment-friendly policies being implemented which is yielding positive results.
In the same vein, the governor received the management of the Sahara Energy Group executives in his Office in Akure, where discussions centred on reactivating an oil field that has remained inactive since 1998.
Speaking, the Executive Director of Sahara Energy, Kola Adesina, said efforts were underway to unlock the asset’s production potential through technical evaluation and structured recovery plans.
