Ramadan/Easter: Barr Adu Distributes Bags of Rice to Muslims, Christians, Calls for Love, Unity

Barr Olumuyiwa Adu, a Philanthropist has distributed over 600 bags of rice to the Muslims and Christians Communities in the Ondo Central Senatorial District as both religion bodies are celebrating Ramadan and Easter respectively.
In what has become an annual giving by the Olumuyiwa Adu Foundation (OAF) to reach out to the less privileged and indigents in the society, 2023 Easter and Ramadan wasn’t an exception.
Speaking with the PATH, Barrister Adu said the need to rejoice with the Christian faithfuls across the state as they celebrate Easter necessitated the distribution of the bags of rice to some selected churches in the state, mostly for the indigents in the churches.
In the same vein, the kind gesture was also extended to the Muslim faithfuls who are observing Ramadan fasting.
He added that his act of giving is not for any political or peculiar gains but adding meaningful values to the lives of indigents, widows and orphans in the society.
Adu disclosed that he joined politics with the motive of using the platform to reach out to the larger population of his people who have been neglected by the government and their representatives over the years.
While congratulating the Christians as they celebrate Easter, he charged them to share and show loves to their brothers and sisters, be united saying Jesus Christ died for our sin which is the ultimate sacrifice for mankind.
Speaking, Pastor Ashaolu Julius of C.A.C Oke-Isegun, Irowo, Akure. Pastor Ashaolu sincerely appreciated the Easter gift while promising to equitably distribute the bags of rice to all the less privileged people in the Church.
Also, prophetess Bola Titiloye of C.A.C Oluwasemilogo and Prophet Sunday Eyebiokin of Arugboojo Prayer Church of God thanked Barrister for remembering the needy during the period of Easter, noting that he is a genuine philanthropist who would be rewarded by God for the kind gestures.
The pastors prayed for Adu charging him not to relent in reaching out to the less privileged.
In the same vein, the Grand Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom, Sheikh Abdul-Hakeem Yayi Akorede whiile welcoming Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu and his team congratulated Akure Kingdom for having a prominent son like Adu who is rendering selfless service to humanity within and outside Akure environs.
He stated further that the philanthropist gesture of Barr Olumuyiwa Adu has no political or religion colouration but extending hands of love to the less privileged in the society.
“What distinguishes Adu from other politicians is his kindness, humbleness, respect for both old and young, ability to stands by his words and his goodwill which will definitely take him to place of greatness”.
The Sheikh thanked him for reaching out to the Muslims mostly during the ongoing Ramadan period, praying for long life, good health and abundant blessings, adding that givers never lack.
Meanwhile, bags of rice was distributed to Muslims in Akure, Idanre, Ifedore and Ondo respectively and also some seleted churches in Akure and Owode.
