Pen Down: Fasua, Ilawole, Omoloja, Others Shower Encomiums on Sanitarian Grace Ikuomola

The outpouring of encomiums and accolades on Sanitarian Grace Funmilayo Ikuomola by the Management of Akure South Local Government, Permanent Secretary, Union Leader, Friends and families would definitely make one to be envious of this Akure born Sanitarian who rose through ranks and files to retired as a Director.
Iya Woli as popularly called is a diligent and committed Sanitarian who believes in effective service delivery in any that has to do with Environmental Sanitation.
She has served in the three Senatorial Districts of Ondo State with her final career bus stop at the biggest Council in Ondo State, Akure South Local Government as a Director and Head of Department.
Speaking, the Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon Gbenga Fasua described the 35 years in service of Sanitarian Ikuomola as meritorious saying her noble contributions to the local government is commendable and can’t be forgotten.
The Council’s Boss coined a poem to described the personality of a Sanitarian many refers to as Iya Woli.
His words: You are very hardworking, dutiful, forthright, dedicated to your work and you have impacted positively in the Environmental Department of the Local Government”.
The Chairman added that Sanitarian Ikuomola has lived behind indelible marks that would be remembered by the Management and Staff of the Council saying her life is an example worthy of emulation by junior officers in the service.
Hon Fasua said it would be very difficult to find a replacement for Sanitarian Ikuomola who prioritize government work as if it is her personal work saying her commitment to environmental stewardship is invaluable.
In the same vein, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) at the Council, Mrs Dupe Omoloja described Sanitarian Ikuomola as industrious woman with great passion for her job.
“Sanitarian Ikuomola is intelligent, smart, focused and industrious woman with brilliant ideas. We organized a workshop at the Council that became the talk of the town which has served as template for others local government to emulate, despite the reprimand, it was commendable”.
She added that Sanitarian Ikuomola is a professional Officer who knows her Onion as far Environmental work is concern in Ondo State while urging other Sanitarians to emulate her good conduct and passion for results.
Dr Bayo Ilawole, the Permanent Secretary at the Local Government Service Commission congratulated the celebrant for serving the state for 35 years without blemish saying accolades and encomiums from the leadership of the Council has shown she served the state meritoriously.
The PS encouraged those in active service to be ethical in all their dealings and emulate the good deeds of the Retired Sanitarian Ikuomola.
He assured the Management of the Council of a good replacement for the retired officer who will also has the capacity to perform well.
In her goodwill message, the President of EHOAN, Sanitarian Oluwafunmike Babajide described her as a disciplinarian, diligent, result oriented, hardworking, passionate of environmental sanitation who has sacrificed a lot for the service.
Appreciating the well wishers that graced her Pens Down, Sanitarian Ikuomola said her passion for the job made her to put all her best, advising people in service to be hardworking and committed saying there is reward in efficient service delivery as a civil servant.
She specially thanked the Chairman of the Council and HOLGA for their support and the enablement to thrive and work diligently at the Environmental Department of the local government.

Meanwhile, the Pens Down cake was cut and presentation of gifts from several people simply shows that Sanitarian Grace Funmilayo Ikuomola is love and service appreciated by people she worked with.
