The BOT also stated that it was height of mischief to pass vote of no confidence on a duly elected executive committee for no concrete reason.
According to the BOT, ” We affirmed our commitment to the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State as the leader of the party in South West”.
The former Deputy Governor further clarified that there is no faction in Ondo Chapter of PDP, saying those suspended have the right to prove their innocent at the Party’s Disciplinary Committee.” The unity of the party is our priority”.
On his part, Chief Segun Adegoke said the supposed crisis in the party could be traced to the fall out of the governorship primary that produced Eyitayo Jegede, adding that the primary was credible and transparent.
He said the BOT and elders of the party will ensure discipline take the centre stage of engagement in the party. ” PDP is a party known for discipline and we will not condone any act of undiscipline ,any erring members will be penalized according to our party constitution”.
Dr Tayo Dairo said PDP is governed by constitution unlike the APC that act outside its party constitution, saying no miscreants or non chalantant people will be allowed to take over the party.
