Ondo: Organized Labour distances self from publication accusing Gov Ayedatiwa of reckless spending

Organized Labour in Ondo State has distanced self from the publication in one of the National Dailes and Online News Portals accusing Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of reckless spending.
In a Press Statement made available to Newsmen, the leadership of the body said no public servant in the state can accuse a governor that has not spent a Month in office of reckless spending.
The Organized Labour warned against dragging public servants into the politics of the state saying the body will resist any attempt to cook stories to suit interior motive of any faceless group at the detriment of labour union.
The body further said the group, Concerned Ondo Public Servants (COPS) has no right to speak for the public servants in Ondo State let alone accusing the governor.
It could be recalled that a faceless group, Concerned Ondo Public Servants (COPS), accused the Governor Aiyedatiwa of diverting state resources towards political activities to support his gubernatorial ambition.
In a statement signed by the group’s spokesperson, Segun Aderibigbe lamented over the insensitive distribution of government funds to party members, particularly during the recent stakeholders’ meeting.
The Organized Labour enjoined workers in Ondo State to cooperate with the governor and distance themselves from whatever may tarnish the image of workers in the state.
Meanwhile, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ayedatiwa, Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan, declined comments on the allegations while one of the governor’s aides said the group was crying wolf and looking for relevance.
