Ondo NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel Confers Chief Akindele Omole Distinguished Professional & Leader Per Excellence Award

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council has conferred Chief Akindele Omole with a Distinguished Professional and Leader Per Excellence Award in Akure, Ondo State.

The presentation was done during the 2021 Public Lecture and Award Nite held at Bliss World Hotel, Ijapo Akure, Ondo State.


The theme of the lecture delivered by the former Federal Lawmaker, Hon Joseph Akinlaja titled, Insecurity: Roles of the Society and the Media.

Speaking with the PATH, Chief Omole commended Correspondents’ Chapel for counting him worthy for the prestigious award, adding that he will continue to input professionalism in his work while rendering services to the general public.

He charged journalists in Ondo State to be professional in their news reportage, saying they have big roles to play in accurate report of security challenges in the country.

Chief Akindele Omole was born mid 70s to the family of Late Pa Oloruntosin Omole of Agba Quarter, Oka Akoko and Mrs Beatrice Omole. He had elementary school at St Martin’s RCM and The Apostolic Primary School in Owo; St John/Mary Unity Secondary School Owo, Ondo State Polytechnic for both OND and HND in Accountancy where he emerged as the best graduating student with series of awards and prizes.


His working experience spans across public and private sectors. Chief Akindele Omole is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He has variously been engaged in the audit and insurance services for several organisations including banks and other financial institutions, government parastatals and agencies.

He is currently the Chief Finance Officer of Eko Supports Service Limited; a, leading operator in the Maritime Industry, offering Ports and Terminal operations and integrated Logistics Base for the Oil and Gas Industry at the Lagos Ports Complex.


Chief Akindele Omole is a recipient of several awards and by God’s grace, he is the Bobaselu of Odigbo Kingdom.
