Ondo Coordinator Tinubu/Shettima Strikers, Barr Alonge Congratulates Jagaban

The State Coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima Strikers, Barrister Felix Kolawole Alonge has congratulated Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria over his victory at the just concluded presidential election.
Speaking with the PATH, Alonge who doubled as the Director General of APC Campaign Council in Akoko South West said Tinubu victory at the poll was well deserved.
INEC chairman Yakubu Mahmood declared Tinubu the winner of the election and president-elect at the International Conference Centre, Abuja on Wednesday morning.
Mahmood announced that Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the election with the majority of votes cast in 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT.
The APC candidate polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat fellow contenders – Atiku Abubakar of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 6,984,520 votes, Labour Party’s Peter Obi had 6,101,533 votes to come third and candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Rabiu Kwankwaso with 1,496,687 votes.
Alonge who is also a Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor said the massive votes given to Tinubu in the state was a reflection of the outstanding performance of Akeredolu’s led administration in the Sunshine State.
He thanked governor Akeredolu for standing firm with Tinubu and championing southern presidency cause which eventually pave way for Tinubu’s victory.
His words: ‘ This is a well deserved victory for the president elect; inspite of both internal and external factors that worked against him, Nigerans have spoken with their votes. This is a new era and Nigerans should prepare for better days ahead”.
Alonge congratulated other APC candidates across the state that won their respective election, saying Governor Akeredolu sterling performance in all the local governments of the state contributed in no measure to the overwhelming victory at the polls
He thanked every member of the campaign council in Akoko South West for delivering the federal constituency to APC candidate, while charging them to brace up for the House of Assembly elections coming up on the March 11.
