Ondo 2024: Why I am Declaring Support For Gov Aiyedatiwa Ahead of Other Aspirants – Barr Adu

A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Barr Olumuyiwa Adu has stated the rationale behind his massive support and declaration for the governor of the state, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa ahead of other aspirants.
Speaking at the Media Parley on Wednesday at his private residence in Akure, Cubana as popularly called said his support was based on the instruction and directive of God who called him into politics.
Adu said aside the transformational leadership provided by the governor in less than four months in office, his quest for good governance for the people of Ondo takes his priority among other agenda.
He stated that his coming into politics was divinely arranged by God who mandated him to join active politics with sole aim of liberating his people from poor representation and bad governance.
” I don’t want to come into politics but when God says he wanted to use me to free my people, I don’t have no option than to hearken to His voice”.
Adu noted that all the aspirants in the race to Alagbaka Government House are eminently qualified to occupy the seat saying the maker of the universe has never failed whenever He gave instructions on where to go.
He stated further that Nigerians should begin to support and vote for successful people in the society to represent them at different strata of politics, saying they won’t be hungry to steal the collective resources of the people unlike people on the other side.
The Akure born Philanthropist added that the official declaration for the governor will be massive considering his overwhelming supporters and followers that cut across all the 18 Local Governments and LCDAs.
“I am not a lone ranger, I have thousand of followers who are ready to support whatever cause am pursuing. They so much believe in me and trusted my judgement and I will never lead them astray”.
While appealing to APC party members on who to support and voted for on the 20th of April primary, Adu said the choice of Aiyedatiwa beyond February 2025 is God project that no mortal can change.
He assured the people of the state of sharing his verse knowledge of how to develop Ondo State wiith the governor saying the State needs sustainable investments that can sustain the people aside over reliance on the monthly allocation from the federal.
Answering question on his ambition of becoming the deputy governor, Adu said he has the require cognate experience and wherewithal to function optimally as the number two citizen of the state.
” On whether ‘m eyeing the deputy governor position, I am eminently qualified to occupy any position in Ondo. I have verse and cognate experience both in private and public sectors to function well. I may be highly favors and I don’t think I will fail if am being considered for such position”.
He further stressed that the mistakes of most Nigerian leaders is not getting the right people to work with, promising to be partner in progress in the government of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
” I have what itt takes to contribute to the development of Ondo State in whatever capacity. With the people of our caliber supporting the governor and high profile cabinet members already set up, he will definitely take the state to the Next level.
Meanwhile, Barr Adu faulted the ideas of calling for certain percentage for youth and women in politics saying everybody must aspire to be at the top in their different career without prioritng gender and age.
He ascribed corruption in the system as the major cause of backwardness and challenges facing the country, calling on government at both the state and federal levels to address this menace.
He added that before Nigeria can achieve what will bring succour to the masses, they must be ready to sacrifice.
