Ondo 2024: APC will win Akure with Massive Votes says Mickey

Hon Olakunle Micheal Afolabi, Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor has assured Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of massive votes in Akure for the All Progressive Congress in the November 16 Governorship Election in Ondo State.
Mickey as popularly called gave the assurance when Governor Aiyedatiwa, who is the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the off-cycle governorship election visits the palace of Deji with his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, and top party members to address the traditional rulers, Chiefs, Olus and other stakeholders in Akure South.
He said Governor Aiyedatiwa has been tested with governance and the people of Ondo State are ready to give him another four years mandate having performed beyond expectations within the last ten months in office.
The SA added that the governor is passionate about the welfare of the people of the state with different programmes and policies that centre on the people, saying the recent approval of 73,000 minimum wage for workers is a testimony of his love and care for the civil servants in Ondo State.
His words: This is a governor that has not spent ten months in office and he’s doing a great job in terms of infrastructure, education, agriculture, empowerment, workers welfare, employment of teachers, recruitment of health workers, soft loans to Artisans among others; all these better positioned him for continuity. Nobody changes a winning team, Governor Aiyedatiwa is a performing governor and Ondo State can’t afford to lose him”.
He commended the interest and believe of the governor in the youth of the state saying Aiyedatiwa is one governor that engaged the services of the youth in his government by appointing them in sensitive positions.
“A clear look at the number of youth appointed by the governor in his government has simply shows that Mr Governor values the importance of the youth. In the history of Ondo State, no governor has appointed these huge numbers of youth in his government. We have the number and our number will definitely translate to votes on the 16th of November”.
Mickey encouraged residents of Akure to come out on the election day to cast their votes for the tested governor for continuity of good governance in Ondo State.
“We are determined to start house to house campaign for the governor because Akure is 100 percent LUCKY. He has performed excellently well and he deserves to be elected back for more dividends of good government”.
Meanwhile, addressing the traditional rulers from Akure South local Government led by the Deji of Akure, Aiyedatiwa promised the people of Akure kingdom to initiate more infrastructural projects especially roads construction across the kingdom, if re-elected.
The governor, who explained that Akure had been a peaceful city, said his government was ready to ensure its beautification to allow the town more attractive being the state capital.
“Akure remains one of the most peaceful state capitals in Nigeria. If any development wants to happen in the state for good, it must start from Akure. We have been doing what you ask for , we will continue to do more. I have not started the government at all.”
While disclosing that his administration will restructure the state budget to suit his plans for the development of the state, Aiyedatiwa asked them to troop out in their large numbers to vote for him come November 16th.
