The People’s Democratic Party Principal Officers at the Ondo State House of Assembly have described the ruling All Progressive Congress as the worst nightmare in Nigeria saying it would be a costly mistake voting for the party in the November 16 Governorship Election in Ondo State.
The duo of Hon Olajide Oguntodu, Minority Leader and Hon Raymond Daodu, Deputy Minority Leader made the statement at the flag off of the governorship campaign of the party in Akure.
Speaking with the PATH, Oguntodu said since APC took the leadership mantle of the country in 2016, the party has created poverty, insecurity, bad economy, poor infrastructure and impoverished Nigerians more than any government since the country’s independence.
His words: ” How much are we buying rice, beans, garri as of today? How much do we clear cars before this government and how much is the clearance today? APC is the worst nightmare that has befallen our country and the best we can do is to vote the party out of government at every level”.
The Minority Leader described APC policies as anti people with no clear cuts of providing good governance while asking the people of Ondo State to vote for Agboola Ajayi and Festus Akingbaso, the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party in the November 16 Governorship Election.
In the same vein, the Deputy Minority Leader, Hon Raymond Daodu urged the people of the state to use their PVC to sack APC led government in Ondo State out of office saying enough of APC hardship and maladministration in the state.
He assured the people of Ondo State of people oriented government that centre governance on average resident of the state saying Agboola Ajayi and Festus Akingbaso are ready to provide good governance.
According to him: ” Ondo State needs positive and real change of government. APC has nothing to campaign with. The present governor has spent 10 months in office with nothing to show for huge allocation coming from the federation account to the state. Ondo State needs a better manager of our resources, Agboola Ajayi and Festus Akingbaso have what it takes to restore the loss glory of our dear Sunshine State”.
ROD as popularly called reiterated the commitment of every party member to the project “Operation Reclaim Ondo State Back” saying the feelers from the people of Ondo State has suggested that they are eagerly yearning for the return of the PDP back to Alagbaka Government House.
He added that PDP government is pro- people with better programmes and policies that will bring succour, noting that Ondo State will shine again by the time the duo of Agboola Ajayi and Festus Akingbaso are swear in as the Executive Governor and Deputy Governor in February next year.
The Deputy Minority Leader enjoined the people of the state to come out in mass and cast their votes for the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party saying this is the only opportunity to change bad governance in the state.
