The former Deputy Minority Leader in the Ondo State House of Assembly Hon Raymond O. Daodu(R.O.D) representing Akoko South West Constituency 1 has hanged his defection from the opposition People’s Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressive Congress to quest of bringing succour to the people of his Constituency, through a robust collaboration and partnership with the executive both in the state and federal levels.
R.O.D as popularly called who disclosed this in a press statement released to the media said transformation by the President Tinubu and Gov Aiyedatiwa are convincing enough to draw patriots to the party in Ondo State.
The Lawmaker who is passionate of bringing the needed development to his Constituency described his defection as a partnership for true progress, which was accepted by major players and people of his Constituency.
He thanked the People’s Democratic Party for being a vehicle of actualizing his political ambition of becoming Members of the State Assembly, saying he will never speak ill of the party God used to make him a Lawmaker.
His words: “I believe that political parties are more than vehicles for the actualization of political ambitions. They are platforms upon which progress, development and opportunities are birthed”.
” However, I do not belong to the league of politicians who demonize their former parties in order to seek the patronage of new ones. I thank PDP for giving me a chance to serve my people. I appreciate all leaders of the party for their benevolent support before, during and after my election”.
In the light of obvious political realities, moving out of the PDP is not just the best political decision but one that brings succor to the people I represent. For the records, I took my time to consult widely before leaving. And I got the blessings of major stakeholders within the PDP.
Furthermore, any unbiased political player will be enamored by the weight of responsibilities shouldered by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reposition our dear nation. This is codified in the Renewed Hope Agenda and wish to be actively involved. In addition, the politics of inclusion exhibited by the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan.
Aiyedatiwa, is convincing enough to draw patriots to the party in Ondo state. Joining a Governor with an unprecedented historical electoral victory and acceptance throughout the eighteen Local Government areas in the state tells a tale of EASE that shouldn’t be missed by the politically exposed.
I am sufficiently convinced that my people will benefit more from this partnership that I have started today on the floor of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Finally, as we look forward with great hope for a better Nigeria, Ondo State and Akoko South West Constituency 1, we can only pray for great times for our people as their support will be rewarded by the APC, our party.
