NULGE President, Bola Taiwo Lauds NIQS Leadership Over New Secretariat Project

The President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Ondo State Chapter, Comrade Bola Taiwo has lauded the leadership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyor (NIQS) for embarking on multi million Naira Secretariat Building Project, saying it takes a visionary and determined leader to embark on project at this period of economy downturn in the country.
He stated this while feeding questions from the PATH NEWS during the foundation laying of the Institute Secretariat in Akure. Comrade Bola Taiwo is a Fellow of the Institute and strong financial member who has contributed immensely to the development of NIQS in Ondo State.
He noted that the project when completed aside generating additional revenue into the Institute purse will also add value and recognition to the body.
The NULGE President urged every member of the Institute to see the project as collective responsibility of all, saying their financial contributions will quicken the timely completion of the project.
He Commended the past leaders of the Institute who initiated the vision of building a befitting Secretariat for the Institute while also commending the present leadership under Prof Awodele for the laying of the foundation.
Speaking, the National President of NIQS, QS Michael Opeyemi Sonubi saluted the courage of the leadership of the Institute in Ondo State for the ground breaking, saying state chapter in South West has always being on top.
He enjoined members of the Institute not to be afraid but remain focus in ensuring the building project is completed within the stipulated period.
On his part, the State Chairman of the Institute, Prof Awodele appreciated the effort of the past Chairmen whose contributions have led to the turning of sod of the Institute Building.
He added that the need to have good Secretariat befitting of the status of the Institute led to the laying of the foundation without minding the economy reality of the country saying there’s no better time than now.
The Chairman pleaded with members to support the project, seeing it as a collective project with their financial commitment.
