Ondo State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Fatai Adams has stated that there is no crack in the state chapter of the party as being peddling around in some quarters, adding that the party is united under his leadership.
He disclosed this to PATH during the get together organised to mark his birthday. Adams said there is nothing new in what might have been happening in the party saying other political parties like APC witness worse situations.
He thanked God for making it possible for him to witness another year, saying whatever thing or position he has attained in life could only be attributed to God mercy and grace.
” I celebrated last year birthday as chairmanship aspirant but today, I am celebrating my birthday as a substantive chairman of the biggest party, PDP”.
The Chairman noted that within the time frame he has spent in office, he was able to mobilised the party for a successful governorship election, build a united party and working towards victory in the subsequent elections.
He was optimistic that People’s Democratic Party and its governorship candidate,Eyitayo Jegede will emerge victorious at the ongoing Tribunal.
Meanwhile, the immediate past chairman of PDP, Engr Clement Faboyede congratulated Alhaji Adams on his birthday, describing him as a loyal, trustworthy and reliable party man that will lead the party to victory.
On the internal wrangling in the party, Faboyede said PDP is a big party with people of different shade of opinions and thought, saying whatever crises that might engulfed the party in the South West will soon be over.
He said Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State remains the leader of PDP in South West, adding that ex governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose is not contesting the leadership of the party with him.
The State Chairman of PDP appealed to all members of the party to unite as one family in preparation for future elections.
