NIEEE Chairman, Engr Adedokun Adeyonu To Receive Achiever Award in Young Engineers Mentorship

The Chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), Engr Adedokun Adeyemi Adeyonu will be decorated with Distinguished Achiever Award in Young Engineers Mentorship by the Management of the PATH NEWS Magazine.
Engr Adeyonu is a multi award winning Engineer in Ondo State whose contributions to the Engineering profession has earned him several recognitions from different reputable organizations and associations within and outside Ondo State.
The ceremony would be held at the OSDPC Event Centre, IJapo Estate, Akure, on the 27th September, as part of the line up activities celebrating the 8th anniversary of the PATH NEWS Magazine and Sunshine State Achivers Award 2026 edition.
The program is expected to draw dignitaries from across the state and beyond, of which penciled down Engr Adedokun Adeyonu for the highest honor of ONDO STATE ACHIVER AWARD IN YOUNG ENGINEERS MENTORSHIP.
In the poll conducted by the Award Planning Committee, the NIEEE Chairman beats others selected for this category of the award, having polled the highest votes cast.
In a Press Statement released by the Planning Committee, the nomination of Engr Adedokun Adeyemi Adeyonu was by popular request based on his exemplary leadership, professionalism and astutes contributions to the Engineering profession and zeal to nurture young Engineers in the field of Engineering.
Part of the activities line up for the program includes public Lecture titled ” 2027:Poll: Godfathers, Money Politics And Electoral Violence In Nigeria: Effect on Free and Fair Elections” to be delivered by Prof Gbenga Abimbola of the Mass Communication Department of AAUA.
Launching of the Pathcare Leadership Foundation, Unveiling of Special Brochure, Award presentation among others side attractions will form part of the activities celebrating PATH @ 8 and the 2026 Sunshine State Achivers Award.
His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State is expected at the occasion as Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour.
The well celebrated Sunshine State Achivers Award would be chaired by Dr Thomas Wilson -Ikubese, the CMD of Skye Hospital and former Presidential Aspirant, and co-chaired by Chief Akindele Omole, the Bobaselu of Odigbo Kingdom, Otunba Benji Oloye is the Chief Launcher.
All prominent personalities expected at the event include APC State Chairman, Hon Kolawole Babatunde, Sir Olusegun Odusola, Head of Service, Prof Bayo Ilawole, Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola, NULGE President Ondo State,, CEO/DG of OSRC Media Group, Mr Kenneth Odusola -Stevenson among others personalities.
