The founder of Sotitobire Miracle Chapel, in Akure, Ondo state, Prophet Babatunde Alfa stated that he has forgiven people behind his incarceration over the missing child in his church.

Justice Olusegun Odusola of the Ondo State High court had earlier sentenced the prophet to life imprisonment over what he described as his complicity in the mysterious disappearance of a 13-month-old boy, Gold Kolawole from his church in 2019.

It could be recalled that, Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, had set aside the judgement of the Ondo state High Court that sentenced the founder to life imprisonment over a two count charge of conspiring, aiding and abetting the disappearance of Gold Kolawole.

Delivering judgement on behalf of other Court of Appeal judges, Justice Gamma Barka ruled that the circumstantial evidence the High Court based its judgement was not enough to convict him.

Justice Barka therefore discharged and acquitted Prophet Alfa of the offence.

In the First Sunday Service the prophet would be attending since regained freedom, he thanked God for seeing him through during the period he spent at the correctional facility.

The prophet said he was framed up by people envious of his spiritual exploit and geometrical growth of his ministry, adding that God will soon exposed them.

” It painful suffering and being punished for what you know nothing about; I spent two years behind bar for unknown sin but I have forgiven everybody that played one role or another in my imprisonment”.

Prophet Alfa maintained his innocence, noting that he was vindicated by God because he knew nothing about how the 13 months old boy got missing.

” Those behind my ordeal felt I will die inside prison but the living God I am serving vindicated me. I don’t use charms nor terrestrial power, it only God. I don’t fornicate nor involve in fetish things, that is why signs and wonders abound in my church”.

The Prophet was saddened with the level of destruction in the church, saying he will bounce back in multiple folds ” Ile Oba to jo, ewa lo bu si”. All my cars and building were set ablaze living me with nothing”.

He thanked members of his church for standing with him in time of trial, despite persecution from the members of the public.

He promised to give full details of his ordeal at appropriate time, where he will give his prison account.

Meanwhile, he prayed for President Buhari, Governor Akeredolu and Nigeria as a nation.
