May Day Celebration: Rep Akingbaso Salutes Nigerian Workers, Advocates For Better Welfare Package

*Saluting the Backbone of Nigeria: A Message of Solidarity to Workers*
As we commemorate Workers’ Day, we pay tribute to the millions of Nigerian workers who toil tirelessly, often behind the scenes, sacrificing their time, energy, and well-being to build and sustain our nation. From the early morning hours to the late nights, they work relentlessly, often in challenging conditions, to ensure our homes, schools, hospitals, and industries function effectively. Their sweat, tears, and labour have shaped the very fabric of our society, and their unwavering dedication form the bedrock of our country’s progress.
From the factories to the farms, from the classrooms to the hospitals, even the then sanitary inspection officers ( *_Wole Wole_* ) and *the Onise Oju Ona* , workers are the driving force behind our economy and society. Your commitment to democracy, citizen welfare, and people-oriented policies is truly commendable.
Despite facing numerous challenges, Nigerian workers remain resilient and steadfast, striving for a better country for all. Your doggedness and solidarity are an inspiration to us all.
As we celebrate Workers’ Day, let us recognize the invaluable contributions of workers to our nation’s development. Let us also acknowledge the need for improved working conditions, fair wages, and social protections to enhance the well-being of workers.
To all Nigerian workers, I salute your sacrifices, resilience, and dedication. May your efforts be rewarded with a brighter future for our nation.
In Solidarity
