ITF DG, Afiz Ogun Visits Ondo State Artisans’ Group Headquarter to Validate Support for Artisans Development in Ondo State

The Industrial Training Fund Director General, Dr Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin on Monday 29th September 2025 convened a high level meeting to address the ongoing face-off between the leadership of the Ondo State Artisans Group (OSAG) and the self acclaimed factionalized Casmir group of the association.
While addressing hundreds of Artisans at the OSAG Headquarters in Akure, Ondo State, the DG urged all parties to remain civil, calm and support the duly elected president under the leadership of Comrade Apostle Adefioye Olugbenga Gure and his new Executives.
It could be recalled that, the former president of the group Comrade Daisi Komolafe the SSA to the Governor on Artisans matters refused to handover properly to the newly elected President Comrade Apostle Adefioye Olugbenga and went ahead to form a parallel Govt to distabilise the Ondo State Artisans Group (OSAG) to form another association for selfish interest.
Dr Ogun who is on an official duty to the Sunshine State called for unity, love and cooperation among artisans in the state, saying only oneness and unity can move the association forward.
He charged the leadership of the association to prioritize transparency, accountability and probity in all their dealings, saying that is only way trust can return to the association.
The DG added that, his office is leading government initiative on the Skill-Up Artisans Programme of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that only the cooperated artisans can benefit from the Programme.
He called on the leadership of Artisans to broker a truce among the factionalized members, saying Artisan is one and division should not be allowed.
On his part, the President General of Ondo State Artisans Group (OSAG) in Ondo State, Apostle Adefioye Olugbenga (Gure) thanked Dr Afiz Ogun for the visit, saying his coming is timing.
He assured the DG of uniting and embracing dialogue among the factionalized members saying his door is open to everyone that is ready to toe the path of peace.

He appealed to members romancing the other faction to come back home and take their rightful position, rather than wasting away in a group not recognize by Artisans in the state.
