Insecurity: Aboasakin Monarch Writes Aiyedatiwa Over Amotekun Security Post in Community
... Congratulates Aiyedatiwa, Mourns Akeredolu Demise

The traditional ruler of Aboasakin Community in Akure North Local Government, HRH Oba (Dr) Adebayo Sunday, Asakin of Aboasakin has sent Save Our Soul Letter to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa over the state of insecurity in his community.
The Monarch has expressed concern over the resurgence of kidnappings and sundry criminalities in the agrarian community saying the kidnappers have turned the community to escape routes to the neighboring Ekiti State.
Speaking with the PATH in his Palace, Asakin raised an alarm over what they called incessant kidnapping that has sent fear into the mind of the residents of the community.
Against this backdrop, the monarch has written a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the State Government to save them from the hands of the kidnappers who have turned the community to their perpetual habitat.
He further lamented the worsening rate of insecurity in the area calling on the governor to come to the community rescue by approving Amotekun Security Post in Aboasakin.
Asakin added that the community has built Amotekun Security Post only waiting for approval of the government and posting of Amotekun personnel to the community.
His words: ” Our Community has built Security Post for Amotekun, we are only waiting for government approval. I have submitted letter to that effect to the office of the governor and we are hopeful for rapid response to our request”.
He called on the state government under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to pay more attention to Aboasakin axis of Akure North while charging security operatives to intensify more efforts by flushing out the perpetrators of kidnapping in the community.
” Aboasakin is very peaceful before the kidnappers suddenly turn our community into habitat. We are doing our best as community to flush them out. With the cooperation of government and posting of Amotekun to our community, these criminal elements using our community to escape with their victims to Ise Ekiti and other neighboring communities will stop”.
Meanwhile, Oba Adebayo Sunday congratulated the governor over his elevation following the demise of his boss, Late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN urging him to continue the good work and projecs of the late Governor.
He sympathized with the immediate family of the late Governor, the government of Ondo State, APC, Owo Community and Olowo of Owo, asking them to take solace in the lasting legacies left behind by the governor.
