Idanre/Ifedore Reps: Adefisoye Congratulates Akingbaso on Victory

At last, the lawmaker representing Idanre/ Ifedore federal constituency, Tajudeen Adefisoye has congratulated Hon Festus Akingbaso on his victory at the last Saturday National Assembly Election where he was declared as winner by INEC.

The congratulatory message was posted on his Facebook Account where he also apologized to the members of the constituency and his supporters who were not carrying along following his defection from SDP to APC.

It could be recalled that Hon Tajudeen Adefisoye popularly called Small Alhaji was elected in 1999 on the platform of the Social Democratic Party and later defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress.

In the results declared by INEC, Akingbaso scored 24,263 to defeat incumbent APC’s Adefisoye, who polled 20,064 to come second.

In the statement, Adefisoye said, “Congratulations to Hon. Festus Akingbaso (Fessywest) the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.

“Between 2019 and now, the trajectory of Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency has changed. We have registered a bold presence in the comity of decent and respected Federal Constituencies.

“We have placed our Federal Constituency on the global map. Now is the time for you to contribute your quota.

“Once again, I tender my apology to all my followers and supporters who took an offense against us following my movement from SDP to APC.

“We had to do that for the interest of all. Similarly, to those that got offended through any of my aides, please accept my apology.

“It’s time to move on. It’s time to chart a new course. The future is very bright. Let’s stand together for a greater tomorrow is ahead of us. I love you all”.
