Prominent businessman and APC chieftain, *Oluomo Adeola Ogunmakin*, has congratulated *Hon. Festus O. Akingbaso, MHR*, on his confirmation as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.
The confirmation came shortly after the National Secretariat of the APC transmitted the authentic list of candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The list, signed by the National Chairman and the National Secretary and dated Monday, June 29, 2026, affirmed Hon. Akingbaso as the party’s flag bearer after his appeal was found to be meritorious.
Reacting to the development, Oluomo Ogunmakin described the decision as “a victory for due process, party loyalty, and the will of the people of Idanre/Ifedore.”
He called on all party faithful, stakeholders, and aggrieved members to set aside differences and rally behind Hon. Akingbaso. According to him, unity within the APC is the surest path to victory in the general elections coming up early next year.
“Oluomo” as he is fondly called, is a respected political mobilizer and investor. He manages *Green Park Motels* and other hospitality ventures, and is the Managing Director of *FirstChadfun Ltd*, a leading gas company. Speaking further, he expressed strong confidence in Hon. Akingbaso’s re-election, citing the lawmaker’s landmark contributions at the Green Chamber.
“Hon. Akingbaso has proven himself to be a diligent, accessible, and result-oriented representative. His performance, commitment to constituency development, and capacity to attract federal presence to Idanre/Ifedore speak for themselves. With him on the ballot, APC’s victory is certain,” he said.
He concluded by urging all APC members to close ranks, avoid divisive rhetoric, and work as one family to retain the seat and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
