The immediate past Chief of Staff to the governor of Ondo State, Chief Olugbenga Ale said that, he was appointed as the Chief of Staff on a platter of gold by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, saying he never lobby to be appointed.
He disclosed this to PATH correspondent at his private residence in Owo while feeding questions on the inauguration thanksgiving held at St Andrew’s Anglican Church, Owo.
Chief Ale said the governor out of his good heart appointed him to serve as his Chief of Staff among numerous lobbyists for the position in 2017 when the government came on board.
While thanking the governor for counting him worthy to serve under his administration as Chief of Staff, he decribed the governor as a straight forward personality who always keep to his words.
On whether he would like to work with the governor again, he said his reappointment to serve as the Chief of Staff in Governor Akeredolu second term in office depends on the decision of the governor, saying he is ready to serve the state again if Arakunrin deem it fit.
He said the last four years under Governor Akeredolu government has brought more development and transformation in every nook and cranny of Ondo State.
” Ondo State has experienced massive infrastructural revolution, industrialisation with the birthed of Ore Industrial Hubs, Investment in Agriculture and Education, Health Insurance Scheme and transformation of the health sector, youth empowerment through various social investment programmes, Ore Remdeption Bridge, first of it kind in Ondo State among others”.
The Former Chief of Staff said the second term of Governor Akeredolu will focus more attention on Security, Port Ondo and exploration of Bitumen in the state, adding that it actualisation will further boost the economy of the state and create job opportunities for the teeming unemployed in the state.
He appealed to the citizens of the state to exercise patience with the government, noting that Akeredolu is ever ready to bring good governance to the door step of everybody.
