A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu has revealed that he did menial jobs to survive while growing up as a young boy despite coming from one of the most populous and influential families in Akure.

He made this disclosure during an interactive session with the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo state Council held at the First Molac Hotel in Akure, Ondo State Capital.

Despite the precious and appealing look of Gold, it went through some refining processes to emerge with irresistible look.

Barr Adu noted that he gets to his presence position through dint of hardwork, fervent prayers saying for most successful people, there’s always a little beginning.

While sharing his experience with the Journalists, the Akure born Philanthropist said he has paid his price, took some hard decisions, steps and did extra ordinary jobs to get to the top.

The APC Chieftain further revealed that he had in the past done some menial jobs including carrying and offloading of planks at his Uncle’s Sawmill, carried Blocks at Building sites among other jobs for survival.

“My humble beginning was full of up and down but God kept me alive and show mercy on me. All the proceeds from the menial jobs at sawmill and Block Carrying were invested into Poultry Business but I later started Vet Business with my Friends, Dr Femi Oyinsan and Achiever”.

“One lesson I want the young ones to learn from me is that if things are not working for you, hold on to Christ. I was able to overcome challenges because I made Christ my pillar”.

Challenging those looking up to him as Role Model, Adu hinted that successful leaders start with identifying their purpose, passion and are committed to pursuing and fulfilling it.

He added that, the place of prayers can’t be downplayed in the journey to stardom, saying Prayers, hardwork, commitment, determination and cheerful giving to the less privileged right from his childhood are the secret to his God given resources.
