appointment as the Substantive Comptroller
General (CG) of Immigration Services (NIS) by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
In a special congratulatory message personally signed and made public, Hon. Omowunmi said her appointment is a plus for the women and a testament to the inclusive governance of Nigeria’s President.
The Akure Princess who said she is not surprise by this new appointment as her dedication and competence over the years has brought tremendous improvements in border security and efficient visa processing services for both Nigerians and foreign visitors, further congratulated Nigerian women on this feat.
While also expressing confidence in her ability to further the cause of excellent service to humanity at the NIS, Hon Omowunmi said Nigeria is indeed blessed to have people of her calibre in office noting that her new role will no doubt bring about impactful development.
“With this new appointment, Nigerian women have renewed assurance that their welfare and voice will be well represented in the governance”, she added just as she urged women to continue to equip themselves to attract leadership position as the future of women remain bright.
