A leading House of Assembly aspirant for Akoko Southwest Constituency 1, Hon Funsho Joseph Olasheni (Aleiba) has been conferred with the Ondo State Youth Ambassador Award by the PATH NEWS MAGAZINE.
The award investiture took place on Sunday 19th April, 2026 at OSPDC Event Hall Ijapo Estate Akure. The event paraded who-is-who in different fields, who were selected purely on merit.
The 2026 Sunshine State Leadership Award is an award programme organized by the management of the PATH NEWS MAGAZINE to Honour outstanding sons, daughters and residents of Ondo State who are making the state proud in their respective fields.
This year edition paraded twenty-one recipients having met the requirements and standard set by the planning committee.
Speaking at the event, the publisher of the News Tabloid, congratulated the lucky recipients who made the 2026 list, while urging them to continue to contribute to the society and impact more lives.
He thanked the chairman, Guest Speaker and other invited guests for gracing the occasion.
In his remark, the Chairman of the event, Prof Dayo Faduyile ably represented by Dr Adesomoju Crown commended the leadership of PATH NEWS for celebrating Achievers who are making the state proud.
He enjoined the recipients not to relent in their contributions to both physical and economy development of Ondo State and Nigeria.
The Guest Speaker, Dr Gbenga Abimbola of the Mass Communication Department, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko speaks on the topic, ” The Rise of One Party Dominance: Implications for Democracy & the 2027 General Election”.
Speaking with the Journalists, Aleiba as popularly called thanked the management of the PATH NEWS MAGAZINE for the consideration, noting that, the Honour will further spur him to continue to contribute to the development of Ondo State and the youth at large.
He stated that, he value the award, saying out of the millions of youth in Ondo State, he was discovered and counted worthy for Ondo State Youth Ambassador Award.
Aleiba promised to provide better representation if given opportunity to serve the good people of Akoko South West Constituency 1 at the State House of Assembly.
According to him ” Our people in Akoko South West Constituency 1 deserve better representation and I promise to represent them well if given opportunity. I have what it takes to serve and with the support of the party, leaders and good people of my constituent, a seat at the State House of Assembly is achievable”.
He thanked his teeming supporters across the Constituency for their support, cooperation and commitment to his aspiration, saying he won’t disappoint them.
Some of the Recipients honoured alongside Aleiba were Chief Benjamin Olomidegun (Chairman /CEO High Tide Marine), Dr Toyin Ajayi (Founder, Preston International Schools), Mr Taiwo Adewole (MD Okitupupa Oil Company OOL Ltd), Babatunde Adefusi-Owate (Director General PENCOM), Prince Igbakanrun Tony (NAPPMED state President) among others.
