Hon Oladimeji Israel Ogunleye, the newly appointed Member of the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Asaba in Delta State has thanked the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi on his appointment, saying the appointment came as a huge surprise as he never lobbied for the position.
Hon Ogunleye was a former Council Chairman in Ekiti State during the first term in office of Dr Kayode Fayemi; former Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Security Scheme before his new appointment.
While speaking with Newsmen during the get together organised for him by Friends and Neighbors at “CUDAS Tree of Mercy”Spot in Akure, Ondo State, he commended the Governor of Ekiti State for considering him worthy as candidate for the federal appointment, describing Dr Fayemi as a man of his words and a worthy leader of note.
In his words, ” I never lobbied for the appointment nor send a text message to the governor for any appointment but God used Dr Fayemi for me; I will forever be grateful and loyal to his leadership in the state”.
” Without knowing that Governor Fayemi was interceding on my behalf for appointment, I was busy doing my things but the numbers of missed called on my phone forced me to enquired from a close associate who informed me that President Mohammadu Buhari has appointed me as one of the Governing Council members at the College of Education, Asaba”.
He thanked the president for the opportunity to serve the country, promising to discharge his duties without compromising the integrity of his office.
While wishing Governor Fayemi more wisdom and God’s guidance, he promised to justify the confidence reposed in him to serve the country in a bigger platform.
‘ Dr Fayemi represents the class of politicians that build and grow the younger generation, a great leaders that will never compromise his integrity for mundane materials”..
Hon Ogunleye commended the giant strides of the governor in Ekiti State; also thumbed up on his outstanding leadership roles as the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, saying he is a leader of leaders.
“Gov Fayemi doggedness, exposure, selflessness transparency, clarity of vision set him ahead of others, no wonder he is doing great exploit in Nigeria political setting”.
The Former Chairman also noted that, Fayemi has inspired many people to dream, learn more and become more in their chosen endeavors, adding that he is a political colossus who will continue to lead in Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole.
He thanked the organisers of the get together, leaders and friends of CUDA “Abe Igi Anu” Spot (Tree of Mercy) for honouring and celebrating him on his new appointment with a promised to continue to associate and support whatever will bring progress to every members of the Spot.
While speaking with PATH, Col Foluso Saka (rtd), the Managing Director of Merry Foods Nigeria Limited said there is need to celebrate Mrs Esther Oni, the new Accountant General of Ondo State and Hon Oladimeji Ogunleye, Member, Governing Council, Federal College of Education, Asaba on their elevation, saying they should see their new appointment as a selfless service to the nation.
” We are rejoicing and celebrating them because of the neighbors networking and cordial relationship we enjoyed at CUDA Complex, most especially at the “Abe Igi Anu” Spot of the complex where likes mind of different professions come together to exchange ideas and chart way forward for our dear country”.
Col Saka (Rtd) said the appointment of the two fine gentleman and woman will no doubt add values to the neighbors and friends at the complex, tasking them to live up to expectations while discharging their duties.
” They are man and woman of impeccable characters that have served in different capacities; there is no way the appointment will change them and I believe they will not compromise their integrity and the good name they have built for years”.
