Eid-el-Kabir: Ondo NCWS Felicitates Muslims, urges them To Pray For Peace

The National Council of Women Society (NCWS), Ondo State felicitates with Muslims in the state on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, asking them to pray for peace.

The President of the organization, Pastor Mrs Jumoke Aborode urges the Muslim faithful to pray for peace and harmony in the country, adding that the sprit and lessons of the season must reflect in the lives of the people and nation.

Pastor Aborode while congratulating Muslim faithful in the state, urges them to celebrate with caution by avoiding crowded gathering.

She charged them to always follow all the laid down safety protocols of Covid-19 pandemic so as to contain the spread of the deadly virus in the wake of the third wave.

Pastor Aborode said despite the pandemic and killings all over the country, the sallah called for celebration as only the living has the opportunity to praise Almighty Allah.

She commended the partnership NCWS enjoyed with the female Muslim faithful in Ondo state most especially FOMWAN.

Pastor Aborode tasked Muslim women to use the festive period to give their husbands and Children best treatment.

According to her, “As the voice of women and the umbrella body of women societies, we felicitate with the leaders of Muslims in the state, Alh. sheik Abdulhakeem Akorede and the grand mufty Alh, sheik Surajudeen Batuta in Akoko land.

“We are using these people as point of contact to Muslim leaders in Ondo State. We appreciate their leadership in the state as they always support women development in the state”.

She prayed that the security challenges bedevilling the state will soon wipe out, noting that the goverment of the day needs everyone support to overcome insecurity.

She further adviced men in Ondo state to always support women in all fora, saying the position of men as the head cannot be underestimated.
