Easter: Emulate virtues of sacrifice, Truth, uprightness that Jesus portrayed, Ikubese JP tells Nigeria leaders

A former presidential aspirant and CMD of the Sckye Hospitals Limited, Dr Thomas Wilson-Ikubese JP has told Nigeria political leaders to emulate the virtues of sacrifice, truth and uprightness that Jesus portrayed in his earthly sojour.
The Philanthropist Medical Doctor stated this in his Good Friday message posted on his Facebook page, celebrating the 2026 Easter.

Today is known as Good Friday all over the world; the day that symbolizes the crucification of Christ on the cross of Calvary.
I felicitate with Christians all over the world on this auspicious occasion.
During his earthly voyage, Christ lived a modest and sacrificial life, laying down his life for the salvation of mankind.
This symbolizes the fact that leaders are to live a sacrificial life and be ready to fulfill the mandate of their offices, no matter the obstacles.
I appeal to our political leaders to be forthright and revolutionary in their thinking as to advance a positive course for society and not dance to the tune of a fraction whose minds have been corrupted by age-long mis-governance.
When Pilate asked the people whom they wanted him to release between Barnabas the notorious criminal and Jesus who had not committed any crime, the people echoed that he should release Barnabas!
As we celebrate the sacrificial death of Christ on the cross, Christians should endeavor to emulate the virtues of sacrifice, truth and uprightness that Jesus portrayed in his earthly sojourn.
