The Irele/Okitipupa House of Representative aspirant, Dr. Olumuyiwa Daramola has called for real empowerment of the youths as the future of every society, lies hugely on the youths and how best they are being oriented and equipped.
Daramola made this known in an interview with newsmen earlier today, stressing that there is need to empower the youths with relevant marketable skills, equip them with requisite 21st century knowledge and materials in demand.
He said, “Youths as believed are the future of every society. As such, the development of every society lies hugely on the youths and how best they are being oriented and equipped.”
“The importance of empowering the youths in the development of a society can’t be overemphasized. Having understood this, youths have a huge place in our redefining project.”
The United State based Medical Doctor opined that the type of empowerment he would introduce when elected would be different from the conventional empowerment programmes that enslave, belittle and limit youths.
“Rather, we shall empower them with relevant cum marketable skills, equip them with requisite 21st century knowledge and materials in demand,”
“We shall prioritize human development. Building capacity, inculcating ideas, mentoring youths into self-sufficiency and to becoming huge positive influence in every community of Ikale land they belong. More so, worthy emulation and mentors for incoming generations.”
“From time past, I’ve proven to be a lover of growth and development. There are testaments to show for this in my deeds. This is a time to take the project to a greater level. One can’t do it alone. It’s a project for all. And I believe together we can achieve this in taking our land to greater heights,” he said.
