Boroffice Mourns With AAUA, Akungba Community, Calls For End To Incessant Carnage On Akoko Roads

The Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate and senator representing Ondo North senatorial district, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice has reacted to gastly trailer crash that led to loss of lives and properties in Akungba on Saturday.

In a press statement issued by his media aide, Kayode Fakuyi, the senator said, “It is time to stop the incessant carnage on Akungba road”.

It is deeply disturbing to hear about another accident on Akungba road. It becomes more confounding that the accident claimed many lives and properties.

Many accidents have occured along that route in the past and worthy counsels and viable suggestions have been offered. The situation is not helpless and it is time to put an end to the incessant carnage on roads in Akoko land.

I urge the Ondo State government to consider the reports of past accidents and liaise with Federal authorities in order to implement lasting solutions to the hydra-headed problem.

The lawmaker extended deep condolences to the Alale of Akungba Akoko, Oba Isaac Adeyeye and the people of Akungba Community.

Furthermore, the lawmaker condoled the Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, the university community, families of killed persons and the parents of killed students.
