APC Primary: House of Assembly Aspirant, ‘ATM’ Cries Out, Says Attempt to Compromise Results will be Resisted

A leading House of Assembly aspirant in Owo Constituency 2, Hon Adeola Taoheed Musa (ATM) has called on the APC national leadership to protect the outcome of Wednesday’s primary election in Owo Local Government, saying any attempts to compromise the election results would be resisted.
ATM alleged intimidation, disruption of voting lines and attempts to compromise results of the primary in which he’s leading, going by the result so far collated.
He noted that, he is leading with wide margin and will not succumb to rigging in whatever form, while asking the party leadership to allow the votes cast for him to count.
Inspite the fact that, ATM is leading in all the wards of the Constituency, he raised alarm over what he described as a coordinated effort to subvert the process.
He described those elements disrupting voting lines, engineering the absence of electoral officials at certain centres and attempting to manipulate results as enemies of democracy in the state.
” He is using supervising councillors to sign election results. Bola from ipele, Lekan elegba from iyere, Kola from Ijebu 1 ward 4 and Saidi will sign for ward 5″.
His words: Primary election is supposed to be internal affairs of the party but when the leadership of the party is using every power to force and impose candidates on the party, it doesn’t speak well of such leader”.
” We are going to resist any doctored list by the authority. Members of the party have spoken with their votes and nobody should do otherwise. My people have confidence in my leadership and that is why they massively voted for me”.
ATM insisted that the outcome of the primary must not be allowed to be stolen but genuine winner should be declared by the party.
