ANCOPSS Vice President Bags African Education Monitor Award

Mr Olanrewaju Rotimi Akinola, Ondo State Vice President II of the All Nigeria Confederation Of Principals Of Secondary Schools ( ANCOPSS) has added another feather to his cap as the African Education Monitor Magazine bestowed on him Pillar of Education Award.

Mr Akinola who is the Principal of St Patrick College, Iwaro Oka Akoko was among the 22 principals carefully selected among over 250 principals in Ondo State for the prestigious award.

While speaking with the PATH at the NUJ Press Centre, the venue of the award, Mr Akinola commended the organiser of the award for painstakingly chosen him among the numerous principals in the state.

He noted that, giving recognition to outstanding principals within and outside the state is another way of motivating and encouraging principals in their line of duties.

Akinola said further that, he feels elated to be considered for the award which he believes will spur him to continue to give his best to education sector.

He appealed to other principals looking for such honour in the future to be up and doing, saying hard work is now rewarding no matter how small.

The principal thanked his supportive wife who has always be there for him, covering his back and shortcomings in the course of his duties.

He dedicate the award to his school, St Patrick College, Iwaro Oka, Wife and Staff who have been helpful to his calling as head of the school.
