Akure South LG Rename Secretariat Building After Late SSG, Temitayo Oluwatuyi

In honouring the memory of the Late Secretary to the State Government of Ondo State, Hon Temitayo Oluwatuyi Tuykana, Akure South Local Government has renamed the administrative building of the council after him.

The building formerly known as Ekun Building is now to be referred to as Hon Temitayo Oluwatuyi (AKA Tukana) Building.

While the Late SSG was serving as the Chairman of the council, the building was one of his legacies project built by the Akure born politician. In recognition of this giant strides, the current chairman, Hon Gbenga Donald Fasua deem it fit to keep the legacy of Tuykana with the renaming.

Speaking, the Executive Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon Gbenga Fasua said the entire life of the late SSG was dedicated to service and upliftment of Akure Kingdom and Ondo State.

The Chairman further said Hon Tuykana has left indelible impact in the life of many. ” He lived exemplary life and remarkable achievements while serving as the chairman of Akure South Local and we can’t but recognized this historical feats’.

” He renovated Deji Palace,, preserving our cultural heritage, huge investment in education, built an edifice Secretariat, first of it kind in the local government administration in Ondo State”.

Fasua noted that, naming the building in Late Tukana memory is to further show that his service is value saying it will also serve as motivation to others to be dutiful, diligent and live impactful life while serving in public institutions.

The Secretary to the State Government, who was represented by the Yeye Oge of Akure Kingdom commended the chairman, Hon Gbenga Fasua for thinking it wise to name the Administrative Secretariat after the late SSG.

On his part, the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade thanked the Governor of Ondo State for the befitting state burial accorded the Late SSG, saying Tuykana will continue to live in the heart of Akure sons and daughters.

The Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom, Sheikh Yayi Abdul Hakeem Akorede said naming the office Secretariat after Tuykana was as a result of his outstanding legacy, describing him as humble and well manner politician of note in Ondo State.

He commended the current chairman for remembering the late SSG whose tenure as the local government chairman was remarkable.

He also urged the governor to replicate the same gesture of the Akure South by immortalizing the late SSG as a form of appreciating his contributions to the development of Akure and Ondo State in general.

In a separate messages, Hon SB Akerele, Hon Tony Ala, Hon Falodun and Hon Festus Aregbesola described the late SSG as man of the people, well love with enduring legacies that unborn generation will continue to remember him for.

The Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) Dupe Omoloja said Tukana legacy will forever be remembered while congratulating the family for having a proud son in the person of the Late SSG in their family and Akure Kingdom.
