In recognition of her laudable contributions to women development in Ekiti State, the Eyesorun of Ado Ekiti, and the wife of Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Olori Bosede Adejugbe will be honoured by the Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers (AINP) South West Zone.

The presentation of the Role Model in Women Development Award is bill to take place on Friday 13th January, 2023 at the Palace of Ewi Ado, in Ado Ekiti.

AINP has found the Eyesorun worthy of the prestigious award following the activities of the Queen since ascension on the throne of her husband in 1990.

While speaking, the president of the Ondo State Chapter of the Association, Prince Adefemi Ojopagogo described the Olori as an accommodating woman who prioritizes the welfare of the less privileged women around her.

In a telephone chat with the Eyesorun, she thanked the Newspaper Publishers for the honour, saying she was surprised to be nominated for the prestigious award of Role Model in Women Development in Ekiti State.

Her words: ” I don’t think I deserve to be honoured with this award of Role Model in Women Development in Ekiti when I compare my activities with that of the past First Ladies in Ekiti State but I know this award is to further encourage me to do more”, she stated.

She promised to continue to use the available resource at her disposal to serve humanity, mostly the less privileged children and indigent women in Ekiti State.

Apart from the award presentation, the event will also feature a lecture about women empowerment. Meanwhile, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe and other prominent personalities and stakeholders in Ado Ekiti are expected to grace the occasion while the publishers from all over the south west will be in attendance.
