The 15th edition of Tubaba Football Scouting Academy tagged Adu Cubana Unity Cup 2023 has officially kicked off in Ondo State.
At the unveiling ceremony held at Royal Birds, Ijapo, Akure on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, the sponsor, Dr. Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu said it was yet another opportunity to turn Ondo State into the centre of Football in Nigeria by exposing the youths to the great potentials sports holds for them.
Dr. Adu who used the opportunity to charge the youths to key into the vision and take full advantage of the platform to hit the world stage also applauded the organizers for yearly coming up with the program to productively engage the youths.
He also urged the leadership of the Football Academy to look inward and see ways to bring older beneficiaries to contribute their own quota to the expansion of the vision.
While assuring the Football Academy of his readiness to provide support most especially in the area of acquiring a land to kick start the Academy, Dr. Adu also noted the need to expand the vision by accommodating girls in future competitions.
Sharing the vision of the Football Academy, the CEO, Tubaba Football Scouting Academy Network Nigeria, Comrade Oluwatope Ayokunle said the goal is to scout for young talents and expose them to professional footballing career.
He also took time to share some of the success stories just as he charged participating teams to remain disciplined, dedicated and determined in the cause of the competition.
Other major highlights of the event is the unveiling of 2023 jerseys and balls to all the participating teams.
The event also featured a guest lecture by Amb. Henry Abiodun, the CEO of H & B Global Sports International.
