ADIYE IRORUN PROGRAMME: ODSG SETS TO PRESENT CHEQUES TO PARTICIPANTS

In line with OUR EASE agenda of Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ondo State Governor, the state government is set to present cheques to the participants of the Adiye Irorun programme targeted at the youth and women of the state.
The official cheques presentation would be held by the Ondo State Agribusiness Empowerment Centre (OSAEC) under the leadership of Hon Rotimi Wemimo Akinsola for participants of the second cycle at the Isuada centre in the Alagbaka Akure Office of the Agency on Tuesday 5th, May 2026.
Adiye Irorun Programme is a strategic empowerment initiative of the Ondo State Government, implemented by the Ondo State Agribusiness Empowerment Centre (OSAEC), aimed at improving the socio-economic wellbeing of citizens—particularly women and youth—by lifting them out of poverty through sustainable agribusiness.
In a signed Press Released by the agency Chairman, Rotimi Wemimo Akinsola, he stated that, the programme operates across the three senatorial districts of Ondo State, with established centres in each senatorial district to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.
Applauding the State Government for providing needed logistics, Akinsola said the programme has empowered hundreds of youths and women across the state.
” The First cycle (Isuada centre), ₦8.5 million was disbursed and second cycle (Isuada centre), over ₦15 million to be disbursed with the Cheque Presentation Ceremony to be held on Tuesday”.
He added that, the Participants in the programme undergo a structured process that includes, careful screening and selection, Intensive training in poultry farming and Hands-on practical experience at designated farm centres.
According to the statement, “Each cycle of the programme runs for six weeks, during which participants are actively involved in poultry production. The government provides all necessary inputs, including chicks, feed, medication, and technical support”.
Akinsola further said that, at the end of each cycle, birds are sold, cost of production is recovered by the government and profits are shared among participants.
” This model ensures sustainability while directly empowering beneficiaries with both income and practical skills”.
OSAEC Chairman noted that, the Ondo North centre, located at Isuada ABC Farm, has successfully completed its second cycle, Ondo South centre, located in Ore, has completed its first cycle, with second cycle already underway while Ondo Central centre set to be announced as first cycle to follow immediately.
“The event is designed not only to celebrate the beneficiaries but also to create public awareness about the programme, showcase its impact and encourage wider participation across the state”.
He emphasized that the Adiye Irorun Programme stands as a practical model for Youth empowerment, Women inclusion, Agribusiness development and Poverty reduction in the state.
” By combining training, practical exposure, and financial reward, the initiative continues to transform lives and strengthen Ondo State’s agricultural economy”.
Meanwhile, the Eyin Irorun programme of the state government is committed to improving the wellbeing of people across the state by making eggs more affordable and accessible.
“Eggs are currently being sold at a subsidized rate of ₦5,000 per crate, compared to the market price of ₦6,000 – ₦6,500. This initiative ensures that families can enjoy quality nutrition without financial strain”.
Akinsola urged the public to visit OSAEC office to purchase eggs at subsidized rate, saying OUR EASE agenda of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is yielding positive results in the agricultural sector.
