Adeogun Approves Another Scholarship For 200 Constituents in Tertiary Institutions

17 February, 2021

In his bid to contribute to the education of the students in his constituency, Hon Ade Adeogun, a Federal Lawmaker, representing Akoko South West and Akoko South East in the House of Representatives has approved another scholarship for 200 constituents.

This will be the second time the lawmaker will be giving out scholarship to the students in his constituency. 200 students at Upland College of Education, Ipesi Akoko have earlier benefitted from this kind gesture.

In a statement made available to the press, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the lawmaker, Mr Sunday Abire said five man committe has been set up to coordinate the award of the scholarship.

The statement read:

ANOTHER 200 CONSTITUENTS FOR UPLAND COLLEGE AS HON ADE ADEOGUN RAISES SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE FOR CONSTITUENTS IN OTHER TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS.

Joyed by the success of the last scholarship to 200 students at Upland College of Education, Ipesi Akoko, the Beautiful Brand has approved another round of scholarship for 200 constituents. The scholarship covers for three years NCE program in the institution.

This is in line with our deliberate effort to increase the economic wellbeing of our people in Akoko South East, position our wards for favorable competitive edge as well as reduce the pains of parents in their bid to give their wards quality education.

In the same manner, Rev. Dr Lawrence Ekundayo will chair the scholarship committee which is expected to coordinate the award of scholarship to deserving constituents in other tertiary institutions in Nigeria. We are strongly of the view that education is the bedrock of national development and every constituent who strives to excel should be encouraged.

However, the committee which is made up of the following eminent tutors will in no time come up with relevant criteria for qualification. 1. Rev. Dr Lawrence Ekundayo – Chairman

  1. Dr Akin Oluwadayisi – Secretary
  2. Dr. Mrs Jacob – Member
  3. Mr Victor Olasehinde Adedotun – Member
  4. Mr Femi Agbede – Member

While we wait for the scholarship committee to come up with their modalities, we implore all interested constituents to check our offices in Oba, Akungba, Oka and Isua Akoko for the Upland College of Education forms. We pray that God will continue to bless every member of the committee for offering to serve humanity.
