2027 Poll: Odudu Drums Support For Tinubu, Cautions NURTW Members Against Violence
Ahead of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primaries across the federation, the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ondo State, Comrade Ademola Odudu has drummed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Consensus Aspirants vying for different positions in the state.
Speaking with the Journalists, Odudu who was nicknamed Baba Peace has called all members of the union to maintain peace and order, saying under his leadership, no room for violence in whatever form.
Reacting to the allegations that some politicians are recruiting members of the union to forment trouble, Odudu added that, no members of the union can be used as political thugs by any politician.
” NURTW under my leadership is different from what it used to be. Our members are peace loving people and nobody can engage them to cause trouble in the state. Any member of the union that cause trouble during, before and after the primaries, is on his own”.
He asked the security agencies to be on the look out for anybody impersonating himself as NURTW members to forment trouble, saying no member of the union dare disrupt the primaries of APC.
Odudu pleaded with Nigerians to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential election, saying Tinubu’s administration policies and programmes have transformed Nigeria.
The Union Boss further urged APC members to support the governor, noting that the consensus candidates suggested by Gov Aiyedatiwa is in the best interest of the party.
He thanked the governor for providing good and sound leadership in the state, assuring him of the unalloyed support of the union to his administration at all time.
