Barr Felix Kolawole Alonge has hailed the Supreme Court Verdict, declaring Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the duly elected Governor of Ondo State in the November 16 Governorship Election in Ondo State.
Alonge, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Social Investment Programme (SIP) while congratulating the People’s Governor described the Supreme Court victory as well deserved considering the overwhelming votes given to the governor by the people of Ondo State.
It could be recalled that, some Governorship candidates of the opposition parties filed an appeal at the State Election Petition Tribunal and Court of Appeal, of which the Governor won at both courts before the Supreme Court Verdict finally put an end to the election litigations.
The SSA noted that, the victory at the Apex Court affirmed the will of the people which will further provide a renewed opportunity to consolidate on the progress already recorded in infrastructure, good governance among other sectors of the state.
” The Supreme Court judgment is a historic decision that reaffirms the mandate freely given to Governor Ayedatiwa by the people of Ondo State. The verdict represents the triumph of truth over falsehood, resilience over distraction, and the collective hope of the people over personal interests”.
He added that, since the Governor took the mantle of leadership in the state, he has consistently demonstrated focus, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the development of the state.
Alonge urged the people of Ondo State to come together and support the governor in the best and collective interest of the state saying now that litigation and distraction are over, the Governor can fully focus on good governance the people of the state have been enjoying under his administration.
