44th Mokin Day: Hon Festus Akingbaso Felicitates Ilara-Mokin Indigenes, Donates Toward Community Project

A Member of the House of Representatives, Hon Festus Akingbaso representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency was part of dignitaries that graced the 44th Mokin Day held at the palace of Alara of Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore Local Government of Ondo State.
The annual event brings sons and daughters of the ancient community together under the umbrella of Egbe Omo Ilara-Mokin.
The Federal Lawmaker who was represented by Hon Akinrinlola Akinsote JP congratulated the Ilara-Mokin people on the occasion while also thanking them for their massive support during the electioneering period, saying he will continue to prioritize the welfare of the community.
He donated #1,000,000 to the Development Fund of the community while his Aides supported him with additional #100,000.
In her welcome address, the First Female National President of Egbe Omo Ilara-Mokin, Dr (Mrs) Oluwayemisi Olorunshola charged every son and daughter of the town to contribute handsomely to the Development Fund saying most of the facilities being enjoyed were constructed through the fund raised during Mokin Day.
She thanked and commended Mokin Sons and Daughters both home and abroad who have contributed immensely to the development of the community.
Speaking, the Chairperson of the occasion, Mrs Seun Bosede Osamaye thanked the community for the honour of being picked to Chair the 44th Mokin Day saying she will continues to use her resources to support humanity and community development.
In the same vein, Dr Adeleke Adedipe felicitated the people of Ilara-Mokin for the beauty of the 44th Mokin Day, promising to continue to contributing meaningfully to the community development.
Mr Bunmi Falodun, a Co-Launcher at the event congratulated Alara of Ilara-Mokin and his subjects on the Mokin Day celebration, noting that Egbe Omo Ilara-Mokin has helped a lot in the transformation of the community through different projects embarked upon.
He appealed to the indigenes of the community to always remember their source and invest in the community,asking them to emulate the founder of Elizade University, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo who has brought Ilara-Mokin to world map with the establishment of a University and tarring of the community roads.
In a chat with the Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti, Agbekorun II, the Monarch rejoiced with the sons and daughters of Ilara-Mokin, while thanking God for the grace to witness the 44th Mokin Day.
Alara further thanked all the sons and daughters of the community for their support and financial contributions to the development of the town, saying their contributions have helped in the transformation of Ilara-Mokin..
The monarch tasked the State Government on infrastructure development of the town while encouraging sons and daughters of the town not to renege in their contributions to Ilara-Mokin development.
