By Collins Dupson, 2nd December, 2021

The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Ondo State, Alhaji Fatai Adams has stated that the opposition party is on a rescue mission as the country’s moves towards 2023 general elections.

He stated this while addressing thousands of decampees from the ruling All Progressive Congress and Action Democratic Party at the Party’s Secretarial in Akure.

Welcoming the decampees, Alhaji Fatai Adams assured the new members of equal right as their welfare will be adequately taken care of without discrimination.

He described the decampees led by Prince Foluso Adefemi as “political grassrooters”, saying they join PDP due to lack of integrity of the ruling APC and the need to join forces with the PDP to rescue the nation from misrule of the APC.

The Chairman said PDP is ready at all levels to rescue Nigerian from the mal-adminisration of the APC led government.

He condemned the astronomical hike in the tuition fees of the state owned University of Medical Science in Ondo Town, adding that the increment will no doubt deprive the children of the poor access to quality education and dropping out of school.

He charged politicians from other parties to join PDP to rescue the country from poverty, stagnation, insecurity, infrastructure deficit and economy comatose.

Adams tasked members to support people with impeccable characters and integrity for elective position, saying APC misrule is not enough to coast the party to victory as sellable candidates are needed to win election for PDP in 2023.
