Over 1000 Widows, PLWDs, Youth Empowered By Babatunde Faro Outreach

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Hon Babatunde Faro has empowered over 1,000 widows, People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) and youths in Akure South and Akure North of the state.

The empowerment programme took place at the private residence of Babatunde Faro on Thursday, 12th September, 2024 where packs of food items as well as cash gift of N10,000.00 each were given to the beneficiaries.

The mega empowerment program was tagged: Babatunde Faro Widows, PLWDs & Youth Outreach which is an annual event organized by the PDP Chieftain.

Faro, the Philanthropist Politician recently paid over #3M for delivery of registered pregnant women for the months of July and August 2024 and as well kick started the constructions of Toilet facilities and Staff Quarters at Isolo Comprehensive Health Center, Akure.

Speaking at the event held in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Hon. Faro said he is passionate about improving the living conditions of the people bearing the harsh economic realities of the day.

He said over #20M was invested into procuring items and cash gifts to help bring succour to many homes.

While noting that the whole idea is not to show off, but rather give hope to the indigents of better days ahead as his political party is ready to lead Ondo State people in the right direction if given the chance to steer the affairs of the state.

He said plans are underway to host another major empowerment by December, when his party would have won big during the election.

Particularly, he encouraged the people to vote for the gubernatorial candidate of his party, Hon. Agboola Ajayi in the November 16th polls.

He further noted that beneficiaries are made up of political and non political groups in the state.

In his remarks, Hon. Agboola Ajayi applauded the Akure South chieftain, Hon. Faro for giving back to his community just as he acknowledged that the impact of his doings is greatly felt in the party.

He used the occasion to pray for divine protection for him and for members of his household just as he called on the people to vote for him in order to change the narratives of Ondo State among the comity of states in Nigeria.

While also expressing his readiness to serve the interest of the people when voted into office, Hon. Ajayi admonished Ondo State people to vote for PDP in the coming polls.

One major highlight of the event is the distribution of food packs of rice, garri, bottle litre of groundnut oil and cash gifts among others to over 1,000 beneficiaries

The event also afforded some past beneficiaries the opportunity to express their gratitude and share thoughts on ways the initiative can achieve greater impact.

In attendance are PDP Governorship Hon Agboola Ajayi, Otunba Omolade Oluwateru, Eddy Olafeso, Hon Sunday Oguntodu, Hon Raymond Daodu among others.
