It has been reported that two people have been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Idanre Local Government of Ondo State in the on going Ward Congress of the ruling party in the state.
Report indicate heightened tension and violence surrounding the ward Congress as resident of Idanre run helter shelter for their Ives as the suspected gunmen take over the street of the ancient town.
It was also reported that, the younger brother of the State Party Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin who was beaten yesterday at the party Secretariat by political thugs was macheted and car set ablaze.
The Convoy of the JPHR was also shot at by the gunmen but no casualty recorded.
At the time of filing this report, CP Adebowale Lawal has led a team of security operatives for on the spot situations assessment.
