Oyemekun Grammar School Holds 72nd Founder’s Day

Oyemekun Grammar School Akure (OGSA) will hold its 72nd Founder’s Day starting from Wednesday 29th January, 2025

In a Press Statement made available to Newsmen, the Vice Principal Administration and Chairman Planning Committee Mr J.A Folagbade rolledl out the line up activities to celebrate the 72nd Founders day.

On Wednesday which is day 1, Special Annual Inter House Sports and Day 2 is the Founder’s Day Lecture with the theme “Oyemekun at 72: Sustaining legacy, nurturing minds and shaping future generation” to be delivered by Prof. Ganiyu Oboh, (FUTA).

On Friday is the anniversary thanksgiving where teachers, principal, Vice Principals, non teaching staff, students and OGSA old students Association will gather together to thank God for the existence of the school in last 72nd years.

The Principal of Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, Mr Oluyide Adeniyi congratulated the students of the school both past and present on the 72nd Founders day of the “Only School”.

Principal Oluyide took turns to celebrate various stakeholders for their tremendous contributions to the development of the school most especially, the Old Students Association under the leadership of Dr Niyi Ijogun.

” Oyemekun Grammar School at 72 and still Shining! I can’t but appreciate the contributions of the Old Students Association and various stakeholders that have contributed immensely to the development of the school”.
